Tracking Our Progress

First, I’d like to apologize for the lack of updates recently.  Rest assured, alchemedium is still hard at work on making A Tofu Tail the best possible game it can be within our current limitations   Aside from finalizing some legal paperwork, the programming of the menus is just about complete and the menu art is coming along nicely.

Below you’ll find a bullet-pointed list of everything that needs to be completed before we can launch A Tofu Tail.  As we make progress, we will continue to update the list in our weekly updates.  This way you can track the progress of A Tofu Tail to completion.  Without further adieu, here is what still needs to be completed, separated into two categories:  art and programming.

  • level transitions – 10%
  • dialogue and story sequences – 0%
  • menu functionality – 90%
  • possible social features – 0%
  • save feature – 80%
  • options – 80%
  • accolade system – 50%
  • control customization – 0%
  • tutorial – 10%
  • world assets – 20%
  • story scenes – 10%
  • music – 20%
  • sound effects – 20%
  • menus / front end – 20%

You may notice a lot of 0%’s above; fear not!  A lot of our back-end data management and programming structure was created with most of these features in mind and will be easy to implement and finish.  Most of the work has already been started, but not “formally”, hence they sit at 0%.  In fact, the game design and style decisions have already been set in stone, it is just a matter of writing the code and creating the art at this point.  Check back next week to see what progress has been made!
