Hey everyone!

We know it has been quite a while since our last update; nonetheless, we’ve got a bunch of exciting news!

Come see A Tofu Tail at PAX East!

A Tofu Tail has been selected for the PAX East Indie Showcase! The Penny Arcade Expo has always been one of our favorite conventions/festivals, and we are crazy stoked to be selected to show our game there!

We will be traveling out to Boston from April 21-24, showing A Tofu Tail on mobile and touch devices.

If you are attending, come and stop by! We will be, giving out more of our bookmarks:

AND we have a slew of new pins to hand out to everyone:

Don’t forget to stop by and play A Tofu Tail on touch screen for the first time!

Recent Festivals and Conferences

The alchemedium team was recently (back in February) at MAGFest showing off A Tofu Tail for over 70 hours straight! Luckily we didn’t have to be at the booth the entire time, so we were able to get some rest; though it was still pretty exhausting. But fun nonetheless!

MAGFest and the MIVS (MAGFest Indie Videogame Showcase) team were super supportive and helpful, and there was a ton of crazy awesomeness going on during the four days: panels, the indie showcase area, too many arcade and pinball machines to count, and of course many, many concerts and random dance parties in the halls!

We also traveled out to San Francisco last month for the Game Developer’s Conference to see the current goings-on in the game industry. Virtual reality had a HUGE presence this year with Oculus, PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, etc, etc… There are some pretty cool VR games and experiences out there that everyone should check out, like Schell Games with I Expect You To Die and Temple Gates Games with Bazaar to name a few.

Meeting up with a bunch of developer friends we haven’t seen in a while (some for almost three years now O.O), as well as meeting a ton of new people, was awesome as usual! We only attended a few of the talks, but the ones we did see were very inspiring. You can see a recording of these on the GDC Vault links below; definitely check them out:

Official Soundtrack Sampler

Finally, as promised to all you MAGFest goers – downloads of four tracks from the A Tofu Tail soundtrack by Orbital Blaze!

These are the standard stage and boss songs for both the Volcano and the Spacetime Realms. We hope you enjoy these delicious chips, blips, and guitar riffs!

  1. Sizzling Soy
  2. Inferno Unleashed
  3. Tell it to the Stars
  4. Meteoric Supernova

Next Steps

We can’t say it enough, but thank you for all of your support everyone! It means so much to us to be able to share our experience and excitement with you. Keep an eye out for our next update on entering Beta, new demo builds and music, and development progress!

Keep on ploppin’!

      Hi Nutmeg!

No, ‘A Tofu Tail’ is not cancelled, there has just been a ton happening over the past two months both personally and development-wise.

We should be getting some new info out to everyone soon!
