As promised in our PAX East recap, we have a special treat for those who have been following the development of A Tofu Tail! After a few headache inducing roadblocks, we present to you our A Tofu Tail gameplay demonstration video. This nearly 15 minute long HD video demonstrates our freeplay mode; one which gives the user a plethora of options to generate their own random levels tailored to each players own skill level. Take a first look at actual freeplay mode gameplay as we discuss many of the options available to you and see how they can affect just how challenging your custom generated levels can be…all running on actual OUYA hardware! We also take some time to explain the core game mechanics found in A Tofu Tail so that you can familiarize yourselves with A Tofu Tail’s gameplay before it’s release in a few months. post-Pax East Update

Yes we know, PAX East has been over for a few weeks, so we are a little behind with our post-PAX impressions. But you know what? You’re going to get them anyways!

In a nutshell, PAX East was really awesome (aside from our run-in with a big bad “blizzard” that added an extra three hours to our drive home). We got to meet a TON of other indie developers who we would like to collectively thank for taking the time out of their busy days to chat with us. They all seemed really excited to be there showing off their latest projects and we were equally excited talk to them about their development and try them out. The best part of being involved in the indie game community is everyone is very open and supportive and there is quite a real sense of community. So thanks again to all the devs at PAX East!

alchemedium is getting pumped for PAX East! Three days and counting!

Incoming screenshot overload! We all agreed that the time was right to show off some of the new elements we’ve been working on as well as our freeplay mode menu options. After the link you will find nine new, never before seen screenshots depicting our updated “HUD”, as well as our new ONI game mechanic and the tofu cube’s new range of emotions! You also get a closer look at the plethora of options available in our potentially endlessly re-playable freeplay mode (with more options available in the final version).

Tracking Our Progress

Below you’ll find a bullet-pointed list of everything that needs to be completed before we can launch A Tofu Tail. As we make progress, we will continue to update the list in our weekly updates.
